Need Tires In Regina?

WE WILL NOT BE UNDERSOLD ON TIRES

Many people think that buying tires from a dealership is more expensive than buying from a discount tire store. This is simply untrue. Capital Ford Lincoln in Regina is committed to providing quality tires and we refuse to be undersold! We promise to have the best tire prices in Regina! If you find an advertised price that is lower than ours, we'll match it.

As a dealership, we also have the opportunity to provide you with extended tire warranty. This allows you to drive comfortably, knowing that if something happens, you're covered. The value of warranty far exceeds the cost in the long run! As an added bonus, when you purchase and install your tires at Capital Ford Lincoln, we make sure your tires are rotated and balanced to avoid more issues down the road.

Maintaining the Life of Your Tires
In order to get the most out of your new tires, make sure you take care of them!

Tire Rotations - When performed at the appropriate intervals, tire rotations preserve balanced handling and traction and even out tire wear. Tire rotations can even provide performance advantages.

Many tire mileage warranties require tire rotation to keep the warranty valid. When should tires be rotated? We recommend that tires are rotated every 8,000 km even if they don't show signs of wear. To keep things easy, tire rotations can often be done with oil change intervals while the vehicle is off the ground.

Tire Wear - Beware of tire wear! Excessive wear on your tires is not only harmful, but driving can become extremely dangerous in many conditions. Watch for the warning signs: excessive wear on the inside, outside, or shoulder of the tire; patchy or diagonal tread patterns; cord or fabric showing through the rubber; punctures, cuts, and irreparable damage. Each of these issues requires a different solution and your Service Advisor at Capital Ford will gladly help you find the right one.

Cleaning Tires - Most tire manufacturers recommend only using soap and water to clean your tires. Other compounds may contain ingredients that are actually damaging to rubber.

Tire Storage - Tires should be stored away from sources of electrical fields, such as motors and generators, and must not come into contact with petroleum products which can harm rubber. Even if your vehicle is parked for an extended period of time, the tires can lose air pressure; be sure to check your vehicle and inflate to the proper psi (as indicated in the owner's manual or inside the vehicle, usually the driver side door frame). Capital Ford offers seasonal tire storage at an affordable price.

When to Replace Tires
It is crucial to know when a tire should be repaired or replaced. We can help you determine if you need tire repair service, and what type, or if replacing tires altogether is the better option. We strive to provide prompt and expert service for tire repairs and high-quality replacements for any make and model of vehicle.

Know when to repair or replace:
To determine if a tire is damaged, it must be removed from the wheel for a complete internal inspection. Do NOT drive on a flat tire, even for a short distance. It could cause damage beyond repair. Even if you have replaced the flat tire with a spare, you'll want to bring your car into our Service Centre as soon as possible. Spare tires, especially space-saver spares, have limits on how long they can be driven on.

Capital Ford technicians can fix most punctures, nail holes, and cuts up to about 1/4 inches deep. Treads with punctures larger than 1/4 inches, sidewall punctures or tires that are worn down to less than 1/16 inches are usually beyond repair and need replacing.

NITROGEN

Is Nitrogen Better Than Compressed Air?
In favourable conditions, the average driver wouldn't notice the difference between compressed air and nitrogen in their tires. After all, our air is about 78% nitrogen already. So why should you consider pure nitrogen?

For one, nitrogen has larger molecules than oxygen, making it less likely to escape your tires. Over time, this translates to more dependable air pressure. You won't have to worry as often about keeping your tires inflated. At the same time, you'll be saving money on gas because tires under-inflated by as little as 2 psi can increase fuel-consumption by 1%.

Pure nitrogen can be even more beneficial during Canadian winters. Air, moist air especially, changes pressure as the temperature changes. In extremely cold weather, your tires can become dangerously deflated. When you fill your tires with nitrogen, humidity in the air is purged during a cycle of filling and refilling. The remaining nitrogen is dry, meaning you don't have to worry about decreased pressure on cold days which could lead to flat tires.
