The 2017 Ford Edge

The 2017 Ford Edge slots into the brand’s SUV lineup above the Escape and below the Explorer. It seats five, but with a little more flair and style than its younger sibling. It’s shoulders are broad and aggressive, and its overall design is more fluid than past models. The interior is spacious and stylish. Most importantly, the Edge is confident on the road. The engine lineup is powerful, without consuming too much fuel. And the recommended (at least on Saskatchewan roads) available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive constantly monitors road conditions to deliver power to individual wheels. But one of the Edge’s greatest selling features is its impressive dedication to safety.

The 2017 Ford Edge comes with a 5-Star Safety Rating from the NHTSA. Those ratings involve things like safety in a variety of forward and side crash safety scenarios. Consequently, driving a five-star vehicle means that you have the best chance of surviving a dangerous collision. Additionally, for 2017, Ford has given Edge drivers access to a suite of advanced safety features. The list of available safety technology includes:

  • Blind Spot Information Centre
  • Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Lane-Keeping System
  • Enhanced Active Park Assist
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Auto High Beams

Four Models

Edge SE (Starting MSRP: $29,699)
