What’s new with the 2021 Explorer? As stated previously, the Explorer underwent a refresh and redesign for 2020, so there are no significant changes with the 2021 model. However, there are a few tweaks to note.

  • The entry-level Explorer XLT now features heated seats as standard, with a heated steering wheel offered as an available option.
  • New to the wide range of available Explorer packages is the XLT Sport Appearance Package, which includes 20-inch Carbonized Gray aluminum wheels, a mesh grille with Carbonized Gray accents and unique lower-body cladding, dual exhaust outlets, Light Slate interior upholstery, and more distinctive styling elements that will boost curb appeal on Moose Jaw-area streets.
  • The new Cargo Management System comes standard on the Platinum model and is an available option with the XLT, Limited, and ST trims.
